Multi Combination
A Multi Combination (MC) truck is a heavy vehicle configuration that includes a prime mover towing more than one trailer, such as B-doubles and road trains. These vehicles are commonly used for long-haul freight and logistics across Australia and require the highest class of truck license.
MC trucks typically exceed 9 axles and demand advanced skills in reversing, coupling and uncoupling trailers, and managing vehicle dynamics across multiple articulated sections. To legally operate an MC truck in Australia, drivers must hold a Multi Combination license, available only after holding a Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) license for at least 12 months.
MC trucks play a vital role in Australia’s transport industry, moving large freight loads efficiently across regional, rural, and interstate routes.
